physiological factors needs to be favorable and at the same
time the planetary position also needs to be favorable.

Branches of Ayurveda – can be translated
General Medicine, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, ENT
and Ophthalmology, Surgery, Toxicology,
Rejuvenation and Reproductive medicine.
Among them two systems, two branches which
were very active were surgery and toxicology and
unfortunately these two branches are in very less
practice these days. You can find traditional toxicologist
even in Kerala now. But it is not very widely practiced.
Perhaps the most advanced traditional surgical practice
where in Ayurveda. You can find the instruments
photos and the drawings displayed in the Exhibition
Hall. You can find that most of the current instruments
are adaptations from those instruments designed by
Sushruta. Two of the para surgical procedures are
still in practice i.e. the treatment for hemorrhoid or
piles and for fistula-in-ano. And all the bloodletting
procedures currently practiced also come from the
surgical school .
