There was question here in the initial communi-
cations two weeks back that how do you understand very
contemporary diseases like AIDS and others. If you look
at the classical texts you can find description of only very
few diseases are mentioned in the classical texts.
So, naturally there could be question that how will
you understand a disease that is not mentioned in any
of the classical texts? On example given by Prof Sophana
S was AIDS. We in fact as the Ayurveda teachers adopt
the basic tools to understand any disease condition and
then decide upon the treatment. This tool is known as the
tridosha siddhanta
or the concept of three doshas.
