stream medicine.

demands for all such practices. One is people are
more
critical and skeptical about the efficacy of modern
medicine
. Keeping it in mind I should say that as a
practitioner of Ayurveda we have nothing against any
other medical systems. In fact the classical way of
management of the health care of a society is the peaceful
co–existence of different systems. So the strength of one
system is not because some other system is bad. Every
system has its own uniqueness. This is the perception of
people who in fact go for traditional systems.
The second point is
the belief that health could
be improved
, and not just the disease needs to be
addressed. If there are possibilities, medicines or treat-
ments to improve once health is opted. Third reason is
people who
have tried more alternative therapies and
they are used to since a very natural way of living
.
The fourth reason is the
belief that the treatment
should concentrate on the whole person and greater
knowledge of the physiology of the body
. So it should
not be treatment of the parts but the “whole”.
