intolerance to cold, dryness, cracking sound of joints.
Pitta :- Intolerance to heat, freckles and moles,
excessive thirst and hunger, quick advent of wrinkles,
boldness and grey hair, sharp physical strength.
Kapha :- unctuous, tender and smooth skin, firm,
stable and compact structure, slow in action, stable gait,
lack of intensity of hunger, thirst, heat and perspiration
happiness in face.
People ask which constitution is better - whether it
is Vata, Pitta or Kapha type. These are 3 successful sports/
athletic people - we can find that one person who is very
lean, second person is moderate physically with good,
sharp features and the third is obese. In a very broad
general term they are vata, pita and kapha constitutions.
But all of them finally got gold medals. So it indicates
choosing one’s constitution for the right job or the
activity or the interest one has. There lies in fact the need
to understand one’s constitution. But always it comes
in combination. It is never a single Dosha constitution. It
always comes in a combination of another Dosha so the
presentation will be a combination.
This is known as
dhatus
or the sustaining or the
structural principles of the body. It start with the rasa
which is in the top left side and then slowly grows through
6 stages of transformation to finally become
ojas
which is
on the right. It is the ultimate energy or the immunity.
